Personal Assistant Program
 

 
 

WCICIL trains Personal Assistants (PAs) to provide home services to an individual with a disability who requires assistance to remain living at home.

WCICIL does not hire personal assistants (PA’s).
It is up to the consumer to employ and supervise his or her own PA.

WCICIL
staff assist consumers with interviewing PA’s
and help them learn management skills through workshops,
individual consultations and support groups.

Qualifications for Personal Assistants

bulletWillingness to attend training.
bulletSensitive to the needs of individuals with disabilities
bulletEnjoy working with people
bulletDependable, punctual, and have a good sense of humor

Hours are flexible. Positions are often available full time,
part time or live in positions.

WCICIL will also train persons with disabilities
to manage the employment of their PA's.
